I'm using Kortex at the moment, I've tried Evernote, Obsidian, Notion and just notes and it's working for me more than the others ever did, the linking and tagging feels intuitive and so far it just works and that's what I wanted. Nothing too complex, nothing that needs a degree to get started with.

It's great there is so much choice out there for people to find what works for them, but the barrier to finding something that does is also that there is so much choice. I'm glad you found something that works for you Braeden and thanks for sharing it.

Kortex does look good! I really like the idea of "speaking" with my notes.

How do you find kAI?

I actually created a system for redacting my entire Logseq graph so I can upload it to ChatGPT (or wherever). Well not redacting, pseudo-anonymising what I want it to give insights on and redacting the rest.

It's novel for now, I don't think I know exactly how to beat use it, but I've got a post that's scheduled for a couple of weeks and it's got so many more worldly examples in because I was able to ask within the place I was writing in for less UK specific examples. 80% of my readers aren't from the UK so I always think my frames of reference might miss the mark sometimes.

It also helps when I think I'm done with a post and I can ask for tips on article flow and if it makes sense and it usually tells me something I end up changing that I never considered.

I've got my gym log in there too and I'll literally ask for a plan based on what I've done in the last few sessions to mix it up and it's literally like my own personal trainer.

I'm not sure I have it set up just right yet but with a bit of organising I'd like to have my quote library such that I can ask for a suitable quote that I know I've got saved somewhere to be suggested for inclusion in a post.

The free version is good but I think you'd have to pay for it to get the most of the AI chats.

Redacting isn't something I've felt the need to do yet, I'm not sharing anything that I would be upset about if it got into the hands of hackers but that's something to think about the more use it gets, it's good you've got that option though.

That's awesome, sounds like you're on the right path!

Not worrying about what hackers would get hold of is only part of it. If, for example there was a major breach and your entire Kortex database was leaked to the internet, would you feel comfortable with that? Put another way, why haven't you published your Kortex data raw, as it is?

In the end it really comes down to risk management / tolerance. The good thing about free will is we get to decide for ourselves!

Data breach stuff is a bit like being seen naked. Bear with me 🤣

Makes in front of my partner, fine witg that.

There's certain people, who I'm not bothered in the slightest, getting changed at the gym, shower etc. it's expected. It's normal.

But I wouldn't stroll down the street starkers or start posting nudes online.

But if after some freak occurrence I had to walk down the street nude and someone was taking pictures and I ended up on the front of a newspaper 🤷‍♂️ whatever, I'd be a little bit embarrassed but I'd find it more funny than anything else.

I think I'd feel the same about a kortex data breach, there's nothing that I wouldn't want anyone to see in certain circumstances, but not everything is meant to be on the front of a newspaper just yet. I hope that makes sense.
